Outlook 2010/2013 Random timeout

Hi There,

In the last 2-3 days we have some users experiencing random timeouts on Outlook. Every not an then Outlook pops a window to enter username and password. If we close Outlook and re-open it is back to normal. We are running Exchange 2010. No changes were made recently that could explain such issue.
Any idea what could be happening ?

Any Outlook plug-ins? Are these users in a domain environment?
it could be that invalid credentials might be saved or corrupt and clear them out. Here is the process that we used:
1. Go to Control Panel ==> User Accounts ==> Manage your credentials
2. Under Generic Credentials you will see your Outlook Saved Password. My belief is the password saved in this area is invalid. Remove the saved password and log on to Outlook.

Have you tried creating a new profile in outlook?

And do check if the AV (if installed) causing any issues.

I have tried removing Outlook profile, disabled AV, and checked for save credentials. No luck. The lets thing to try is to delete Windows profile on the PC and re-create it again. But because it happens with a few users and it is random Im not convinced it is going to work.

Have you checked the clients LAN connectivity?

Do they face issue in OWA too?
