Import PST in Exchange always goes wrong

Dear Experts,

I am a little frustrated.
Why is it everytime i export and import mail from gmail, exchange, or whatever platform something goes wrong.
Corrupt mails! stuck imports. incomplete folders. holes in mailfolders. or calender items with copy: in front of it.
We are living in 2015. Why is this process so terrible designed.
Customers always get mad if they lose mail or folders are incomplete.
Is there any supertool i did not find where corrupted items are just coppied and wont fail an import?
Do you have any tips suggestions about transfering mail from a to b
Please let me know!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

When you use EXCHANGE, which backup software do you use ?
We use BackupExec and the Exchange Agent.
With this tool it is easy to backup mails and restore to a PST file.

hi, in this scenario we are taking over a customer. with a gmail account.
We have created an export and imported it in exchange.
Shit hits the fan! :)

Hi,

in this case you can add the gmail account to an outlook account via IMAP or POP.
Copy all emails into a PST file and your are done.

Hi,

I think that the most favorable steps would be: -

Configuring you Gmail Account with Microsoft Outlook and getting all your emails downloaded into the PST file.
Now the emails can be easily managed as the PST file is easy to handle.
If required, users can easily switch to Exchange EDB by converting the PST file to EDB format.

All things i tried.
The problem is the importing. it always comes up with an error with corrupt items.

What about these corrupt items in GMAIL ?
Can you open these items in GMAIL ?

agreed , if you cant import using exchange management shell, you can configure with outlook and import , or you can create 2 email accounts with microsoft outlook and just copy the email to exchange account..

There is a good tool that was initially made by Quest, but now owned by Dell:
