Androit phone cannot see "Contacts" from a corporate exchange server

I have and Exchange 2003 and all my users except one have iphones and configuring the exchange was "easy"
But I have one user with an android and all works except for the Contacts: sometimes it's all there but most of the time they are empty and we only see the 2 contacts entered manually in the phone...
I selected Enterprise
and all "Synch calendar, contacts emails" are checked.
So it does connect to our Exchange since my emails are synching but why does the contacts have a hard time?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I actually came across this recently myself.

I'm afraid there's nothing that can be done short of waiting until Google releases a fix - or downgrading to an older version of Android.

The problem is with the Android Version (above 5 if memory serves) not with your Exchange configuration.
