how can I configure my Vizio 32" flat screen tv using my AT&T Remote?

Hello and Good Morning Everyone

I am interested in accessing and changing the configuration of my Vizio 32" television (Model: D32h-C0) using my AT&T Remote (Model: S10-S4).   These instructions will be needed to change the input device from HDMI 2 to USB to permit movie watching from my USB flash drive.  At the present time, the AT&T remote control has been programmed as a universal remote, thus, taking over the functions of the original remote that came with the Vizio 32" television.

Any shared suggestions and insights germane to this question will be greatly appreciated.  I look forward to hearing back from everybody.

                Thank you

Since I don't see an input button on the remote the best option I could give you is to select the TV and click Menu and see if you can change the input from there.

Hello

I thought about that too.  However, the television remote is unresponsive since the AT&T remote was programmed to be the controlling remote.

There is a menu button on the AT&T remote so if you push the button for the TV and then press menu it should let you access the menu on the TV.

Hello and Good Evening Trent,

Your suggestion worked out perfectly : - ).  At this point, I do have just one more thing which certainly ties into this question.  The menu that I see includes the following:  There is a title with the name of the television, VIZIO.  Underneath it, there is a title indicating TV SETTINGS.  Underneath it in a directory structure consist of the following: Picture, Audio, Timers, Devices, System, and Guided Setup.  Given these options within the television menu, which would one should I select if I want to change my input from HDMI 2 to USB?  The reason I ask is because I am interested in playing some movies which will be stored onto a USB flash drive.

              Thank you

Hello

Upon further inspection of the television configuration within the area of Devices, I only see 3 to choose from within it.  They are as follows:  HDMI-1, HDMI-2, and COMP which makes me wonder if this television even has a USB port.  Perhaps I am confusing one of the HDMI connectors with a USB port seeing that they look familiar.

I'm not sure if it would work or not but you could do a google search for HDMI Male to USB Female adapter and try using that.  I have found a couple on a search but since they are not allowed to be posted here as in the future those links may not be valid.

Hello and Good Evening Trent

Using your suggestion, I was able to access and reconfigure the Device settings using my AT&T remote.  Your instructions sure did make this much easier.

               Thanks again.
