Email Forwarding Exchange 2013

Hello, I am attempting to set up email forwarding to an external address for a mailbox in Exchange 2013. I created a Contact with the outside email address I want it to go to but when I go to the Mailbox-Mailbox Features-Mail Flow-View Details-Enable Forwarding, when I browse for the contact it is not in the list to choose from. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thank you

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You cannot do this in the Gui

Try the following command (keeps a copy in users mailbox)

Set-Mailbox -Identity "mailbox" -DeliverToMailboxAndForward $true -ForwardingSMTPAddress ""

Make sure Auto forward is enabled at Org level first. By default it is disabled.

It should be noted that this can be done in the EMC if SP1 has been installed.
