I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The one I bought for my MBP and loved it was Samsung 850 EVO, incredible performance for a good price!

Seems to be at a good price on Amazon right now too: Samsung 850 EVO

I am using Intel 180GB SSD disk in my Macbook Pro and i am pretty happy with it.

I don't recommend the Samsung SSDs for Macs because they require TRIM to operate optimally and the Mac has a weird relationship with TRIM. It's possible to enable but kind of techy and not ideal.

I suggest Crucial, OWC or SanDIsk drives. Intel is okay, too. I buy them all the time and put them into old Macs at least once/week. It's an incredible upgrade and this is a good question because unlike hard drives, they're not all created equal for Mac.
