Simple Wordpress CSS and HTML- how to put image in header


I worked on this forever. Help please?

How do I get the attached image under the menu in the header of this site?:

Hi Weikelbob,
Its not a straight thing like inserting an image in a HTML page...  I checked your site & you are using WordPress 4.2.5 and "Sparkling" Theme.

In your theme folder there will be a file "header.php" - you will have to edit it and insert the image with a new code as given below. (Take backup of files you edit)

/* here will be the menu UL / LI tags list */


/* Add the new tag given below for inserting image */

<img src="" width="509" height="40" alt="Honest Web Design & SEO" />

please correct the image folder path if wrong... I took the same one as for other images.

you may have to make adjustments to the class we created for the image "headertext" and write some CSS to position it correctly.

It keeps going below the logo. I can't get it to go up under the menu? Can you help?

the headertxt DIV has gone outside the header id"masthead" ...  it has to be inside the masthead header div

can you paste the entire code of your file "header.php"
