I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can use the below range of ip address

From 10.80.10.1 to  10.80.11.254

subnet mask : 255.255.254.0

10.80.10.0 / 255.255.255.0 (range 10.80.10.1 - 10.80.10.254) = (254 hosts)
This is a separate network from
10.80.10.7 255.255.254.0 (range 10.80.10.1 - 10.80.11.254) = (510 hosts)

Even though they share some IPs, they are not on the same network

You can get them to work but that's not the route you want to take. You will be putting bandage on a bad implementation

Explain what you're trying to achieve (concept wise), maybe I can offer guidance

If the device you have is supposed to be in vlan 3, then the subnet mask should be 255.255.254.0, not 255.255.255.0 that you specified
