I am about to sell a server solution to a customer where they will have an on-site 2012 Essentials server for their small SMB, and a couple of hosted desktops for remote workers. The hosted desktops will be running on a 2012 standard DC. Are there any issues linking an Essentials Primary DC, to a Standard secondary DC?
The Secondary DC is hosted by our cloud hosting partner, so we cannot choose the software there, but the customers own on-site DC really doesn't need to be anything more than the essentials version of 2012, saving them money. They currently only have 15 users, and aren't planning to grow within the next 5 years.
