iPhone page problem

I have a web app I am building. I want it, of course, to function on computers, tablets & smart phones.

To test the smart phone, I have an iPhone 6.

Please look at this in an iPhone 6: rkassoc.org/Lakos

Select "United States" for the country; next if should give you a pulldown to select the US State.

On my iPhone 6, the state pulldown appears for an instant, then disappears.

For my client, on his iPhone 5, the state pulldown stays as it should.

Is there something in the way my setup is (or in Safari) that would cause this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I followed your steps and received this error on my iPhone 6+ and iPhone 6 in Chrome Developer tools:
Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error

Can someone please try it in Safari? I can't get that error.

Thanks

Sorry I forgot to say:  I did try that in Safari.

And you get that error?

That's crazy, I don't get that. I just retried.

Can someone else please look at this?

I'm at a complete loss & Kyle Santos can't even get to where I'm at.

Thanks

Yeah, sorry, my iPhone is not loading that site address in Safari, but its working just fine in Chrome on my iPhone.

I'm not an expert in css, but maybe the media query isn't set for Safari browsers at resolutions below 768px?  I just tested your site address on my iPad with Safari browser and its working just fine.

I noticed the site is with PHP so maybe that is the problem?
Check this out to see if it helps you out: Using Media Queries With PHP

If that does not work I recommend requesting attention on this thread and asking a moderator to add topics relevant to website building and code review. :)

OK, I'll check that out.

The issue concerning me now is that I cannot get past the first pulldown on the site which asks for the country. As with you, it works on my iPad (I need to change styling some) but it DOES function. I can't get to first base on the iPhone 6 (I thought the iPad & iPhone use Safari by default).

I feel your frustration brother.  Hopefully you'll figure it out soon! :)

My daughter has an iPhone 5c. I tried the app on her phone; works great, all the way through.

On my iPhone 6, it shows the first dropdown. I select USA, it then flashes for an instant on the screen the State selection, then reverts back to Select Country.

There has to be a trick that I need to do in html / css.

Any ideas?

If you need some html / css Expert eyes in here, then do this and request it from a moderator.
What is the Request Attention system?
Richard KortsBusiness Owner / Chief DeveloperAuthor Commented:
OK, I did this:

Please add categories CSS & HTML to this question. We need more eyes.

Hope that works.

I need to get this dealt with SOON.

If you go to www.rkassoc.org/Lakos on a Desktop or Laptop in Chrome or Firefox, you'll see what things are suppose to look like; select USA, a State dropdown appears, select any State, click Go. Select Basin Cleaning, etc.

I have an iPad & an iPhone. On the iPad it works the same way as it should.

On my iPhone, an iPhone 6 about 45 days old, If I select USA, the State dropdown appears for an INSTANT, then disappears, showing Select Country WITHOUT anything selected.

My daughter has an iPhone 5c. Things work as they should on that device.

My wife has an iPhone 6 maybe 1 year old. Things work as they should on that device.

My customer has an iPhone 6. Things work as they should on that device.

So I conclude this has NOTHING to do with CSS or HTML; it is something about the way my iPhone is set up.

Let's concentrate on this aspect.

Hey again.

I went to www.rkassoc.org/Lakos on my iPhone 6 with Safari browser.
I selected:
Country, State, Cleaning Type, Next, etc. without any issues.

Richard, try this:

On your iPhone 6, go to
Settings
Safari
Clear History and Website Data (Warning: Clearing will remove history, cookies, and other browsing data.  History will be cleared from deviced signed into your iCloud account.)

Now try going to www.rkassoc.org/Lakos on your iPhone 6 in Safari browser.  Did it work now?
