Project 2010 - Highlight Completed Tasks

Is there a way to have tasks that are 100% complete to be automatically highlighted in a green color?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

there is some limited conditional formatting under the 'Format' ribbon, 'format' group, 'text styles' where you can choose to highlight specific items but 'completed' is not available in the list (at least on my 2013 version). You could choose 'Marked' and add the 'Marked' column to the task list then changing that to a yes when a task is complete will apply the format you choose. alternatively you can filter on 100% complete and manual change them.

As far as I know the only way to get what you want auto-magically is with VBA

you can see accepted answer given by me on thread http://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28693648/MS-Project-Conditional-Formatting.html

use the below code, place it in a empty module and run it

Sub SelectTaskRowsProfJimJam()

 Dim tskT As Task

 For Each tskT In ActiveProject.Tasks
     Select Case CInt(tskT.PercentComplete)

        Case 100
             SelectRow Row:=tskT.ID, RowRelative:=False
             Font Color:=pjGreen
     End Select

 Next tskT

 End Sub

Hi,

you can do this without code as well. In the "Text Styles" you find "Highlighted Tasks" and can set the font color to green or whatever you like. Then you can use the "View" ribbon, click on "Highlight" and select "Completed Tasks" -> 100% tasks are shown in green!

Hope this helps
