validate value from database in java adf

hi how can i do this validating in java adf
BEGIN
   SELECT account_status
   INTO Tstat
   FROM dba_users
   WHERE username = :Tuser;
   IF upper(:Tstat) like '%LOCKED%' THEN
      message('The entered user/password has been locked - Call your system administrator.');
--      pause;
      exit_form (no_validate);
   END IF;

EXCEPTION
   when no_data_found THEN
        message('Invalid USERID id/password; logon denied..');
        raise form_trigger_failure;
END;

more like:

select account_status from dba_user where username = 'username' and not (account_status  like '%LOCKED%';

If you get a result you have the account status for this unlocked user, no records means either user not found or user locked...
