Viewing applied Group Policy Preferences

I am familiar with using rsop to view any gp applied to a machine or user however I can't see in here were it shows me settings configured by gpp. For example, I have used gpp to configure Internet Explorer settings, Mapped Network Drives. How can I view/confirm that the settings are being applied from my group policy preference?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

On the client computer, you can run the command gpresult /v and under "Applied Group Policy" you can see the group Policies that are applied. If you want more information, then paste the result of Gpresult /v over here.

Some good information on Group Policy is available on http://www.itingredients.com/tag/group-policy/

You shared an article which gives detail about GPresult, however I only mention the command that is required for the results. In my opinion pasting the link would not solve the purpose if I am in rush and looking for quick solution. Therefore I only mentioned the command that is required to get the results. Hope you agree with me.

Thanks

Hi Both, thank you for the information.  I would like to be able to view the Group Policy applied to a specific user on a remote machine.  What's the best way to do this?  RSOP gives a nice graphical interface for this with normal Group Policies but not for Preferences.

The question was.
How can I view/confirm that the settings are being applied from my group policy preference?

The answer is Gpresult.

So your comment "In my opinion pasting the link would not solve the purpose if I am in rush and looking for quick solution." is not correct!
