Does anyone has any best practices and recommendations to increase the app pool? Site keeps crashing when data is uploaded to it.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need to post more information about what the web site is doing.  Can you answer the following:

1. What OS is the server running?
2. How many CPUs in the server?
3. How much RAM in the server?
4. Does the site use static HTML files or ASP.NET, PHP, etc.?
  4a.  If ASP.NET, C# or VB.NET and what .NET Framework (v2 or v4)
  4b.  If PHP, what version?
5. How many websites are on the web server?
6. How many App Pools are running on the web server?
7. How much RAM is the AppPool process using when viewed in task manager?  Look for w3wp.exe's.
7a.  Can you post a screen shot of the task manager process tab, sorted by Memory.  Please make
sure you click the "Show processes from all users"
8. Can you explain how data is uploaded?  Does this mean files are uploaded or data is loaded into a database?
