Exchange 2010 Info Store, Server config and rolup updates

I am trying to upgrade my exchange to 2010, this is a fresh install of exchange on a new server 2012 r2. The information store will not start,  Tried the net time fix, I tried the registry fix, that did not work.

Also when I launch the EMC the server config isn't there. I checked all the permission groups and still no luck.

Then I have the 2 rollup updates 7 and 8, they will not install.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Why are you installing on an unsupported platform? This is not advisable

Use windows 2008 for 2010. If you are using 2012, then install 2013 Exchange version.

Didn't mean to sound so negative :p Exchange 2010 will 'work' on 2012 R2 but there are several pitfalls that will trip you up along the way, not to mention it is not supported.

Presuming your migrating from 2003, I suggest you install a 2008 R2 server with Exchange 2010 migrate from then decommission Exchange 2003 then install a 2012 R2 server and move to Exchange 2013 or 2016 if your not in a massive rush :)
