TaIG for iOS / iPhone jailbreaking

I ran into issue previously with one version of TaIG : it kept saying
no Apple devices detected.

Googled around & some links suggest to downgrade my iTunes
& after downgrading, I could not install any version of iTunes
anymore on my Win 7

Then a colleague told me I'll need the latest version of TaIG:
anyone encountered this issue with TaIG's "No Apple devices
detected" before?

Pls recommend what I should do next to jailbreak my kid's
iPhone 6 iOS 8.2.x

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you followed this walkthrough from RedmondPie? :

Make sure you disable Find my iPhone and turn any passcode off.  Also recommends upgrading to iOS 8.3 (unless you have a requirement for 8.2.x).

Read thru it but haven't got a chance to try it out yet.

So that version of TaIG V2.1.3 is good to jailbreak my kid's iOS 8.2.x ?

Yep - should be fine, but might be worth the upgrade first.
