web function library's installed

We were hosting a solution on a hosting provider.  Due to their lack of reliability we have migrated the solution to an Apache server on AWS.

We have noticed that some of the code written in Java and PHP no longer works properly. I do not know what the old hosting web server is and would like to know if there is a way  programmaticly  to determine which function libraries are installed ?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In PHP you can compare the output of phpinfo() between the two systems.  PHP has (far too many) configuration settings that affect its operation.  You can find many of these configuration settings in php.ini.  To run a successful PHP installation, you really need to know what each of these settings means, especially if you change any of the default values.  Your hosting providers may have changed the default values; it's worth knowing what the changes were, and why they were made.

Maybe if you can show us a  little more of the observed differences, we can find something more specific.
