Install RDS CALS but server still complains no licensing server?

Hi,

Ive installed 15 users cals on my Windows 2008 terminal server which provides remote applications for my users. When I log onto the box has domain admins, I still see a balloon in the corner stating the following

The Remote Desktop Session Host server is within its grace period, but the RD Session Host server has not been configured with any license server. Click here to launch the RD Session Host Server configuration tool to specify a license server.

How to I setup the license server on the same server Ive installed the RDS CALS on?

Thanks

How did you install the 15 RDP User CALs? Because the way to install the RDP cals, is to actually connect to the License server first!
It's not possible to install the RDP Cals, and then later find out you never installed the license server, because you needed the license server in the first place to install the RDP cals!

In case you installed the RDP CALs in the same domain but another valid license server, no need to have the license server on the same server as the RDP Host, just follow these steps: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770585.aspx
