Windows 10 visual style

Hi,

I'm trying to add a little more "Look" to my vb.net application using visual studio 2015, I was wondering if there was a way to use some of the theme styles of windows 8/10; Are there any options or extensions in visual studio that can give more visual control over the forms/buttons/controls to create something similar to what you can find in windows 8 or 10?

I just find the current options very limited, such as background color/image or things like that...

I did find and install this http://blogs.msdn.com/b/somasegar/archive/2015/07/29/building-apps-for-windows-10-with-visual-studio-2015.aspx but I think it can only be used for online apps?

Thank you

Yep! They are pushing toward toward apps. They have been since Windows 8 came out.

Nothing new happened for Windows Form Applications since then. If you want to stick to those, you need to either buy third party control collections or do everything from scratch, working with borderless forms.

You might give a look at WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) applications. They are something midway between Windows Forms and Windows Store / Universal applications. The techniques they use to create the interface is very close to the one used for apps, so they are often a good way to bridge the gap.
