Lost my group in Viber after iOS 9

Hi,  

We lost our group in the application Viber.   This happened when we installed the latest version IOS9 in our iPad mini.   This didn't happen quickly, it occurred   maybe a couple days later. Before that, we used the group every single day without no problem whatsoever.

When the new version of Apple operating system arrived or was notified, we proceeded to install it in our iPad mini.

 How can we recover Viber group in our iPad?

(Please note that we only had one group in Viber we didn't have more than one)

If you backed up the iPads to iTunes, then you should be able to restore back to a version prior to the iOS9 update.

Yes that makes sense but it has to be a backup in our iTunes or cloud that we have made prior the last backup when IOS 9 was already in the device.  Ok will check!!

Hi, unfortunately, no backup made prior the update.

The strange thin is that we have iPhone and have had no problems.  More so, we have uninstall Viber from our iPhone and reinstall it and we have access to our contacts and groups.

What u think it is?

Yes, our version is 5.5.2.

Contacts always worked for the same reason your provided "...Viber syncs with your phone’s contact list so..."

The problem is the Group we created in the device.  We have reinstalled Viber and still no access o the Group the was created with the device.
That is unfortunate. :(

The link has nothing related to my group issue.  Also, forgot rto mention that prior placing the question in EE we had place a support on Viber.  Unfortunately, they only sent 1 vague reply.  We have sent various response, but no answer.

To update our issue, we also installed viber in an android phone and also, no group.

Super strange,
I'm not familiar with the app, but when you created the Group in Viber is possible that it is synced to a 'Viber cloud'  on their end which they can help you try and recover?

We have been using Viber for a long time and have not heard of that feature "viber cloud".  We know that we are connected to their servers, hence "cloud", but the actual term have heard or seen it in Viber.

We are assuming that when you say "...on their end...", you are referring to Viber.  If that's the case, they have been notified because we placed a ticket prior placing the question in EE.  If you mean, on the contacts within the group, they cannot change or recover anything to group created in our device.
That is exactly what I was thinking.    I was crossing my fingers they may have something to help you recover on Viber's end since there was no prior backup made of the iPad(s).  Before I update my iPhone and iPad I always back them up in iTunes before updating iOS versions.  I know its not of any use to you now, but should definitely be part of your practice for the future.

Please keep me updated on Viber's response.  I am pretty sure it has to do with their app not staying up to date with iOS 9.
