Windows server 2008 = Exchange Server 2010 - Netowkr Interface Question

I have 2 network interfaces on the server, can I setup a fail safe process the will roll over to the other network card if there  is a problem, or for speed and performance would it help to bridge / bond the 2 network interface cards?

Question in general since I have 2 network interface is there any advantage to using both card to access the email server?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would create a NIC teaming, so the OS would see both of the cards a the single network adapter and you could get at least failover protection and possibly increase of speed, depending of network trunk used.  On windows server you will notice, that you can set default gateway only on one network adapter and on the second network adapter you will need to manually add routes which for internal networks access would do, but not for internet.
Here is a nice article about possibilities:
