Email migration

I need to migrate Exchange 2007 mailboxes to Exchange 2013. The Exchange server is part of an SBS 2008 environment, but I only need to migrate just the mailboxes. How would I do this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't think anyone can explain this as good as this guide - http://m.msexchange.org/articles-tutorials/exchange-server-2013/migration-deployment/planning-and-migrating-small-organization-exchange-2007-2013-part1.html

You understand that this will essentially break all the SBS wizards don't you. And very costly.  New server hardware. Gotta have server and Exchange CALS.  What's the benefit to the  company wIth the  new version

Depending on the amount of users it may make more sense to migrate to Office 365.  Have you explored this?

Cris is 100% about the wizards in SBS.  Removing Exchange 2007 from the SBS may cause some issues if you're planning to continue to use the SBS.

Moving away from SBS. No longer using it.

We will be decommissioning SBS 2008 and it will no longer be in the network environment. I just need to move the mailboxes into Exchange 2013 environment.
