Office 16 pro plus custom install?

Just got the new stanadalone installer for Office 16 from my Microsoft action Pack ,but unlike the 2013 version ,it does not have a custom install for programs and location .

Googling gives me nada.

Any ideas?

So far as I know, it is all one package. I have Office 2016 but not your exact version. There was no customization.

I just don't get it.

Some folks don't need the whole ball of wax and want to do a minimal install of the programs they will use or use a different path if you partition an apps drive.

Maybe they only have it in the vla now.

As I told already in my first post: "There is no customization anymore" sorry.

Don't know about O16 yet,but in O13 you can change install path and install programs.

So that article is wrong on at least one count.

I think with Office 2013 it is a mistake.

Looks as if you need to modify the click to run using the deployment tool:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2016-office_install/customize-microsoft-office-click-to-run-c2r-setup/0c97e7c2-5d78-4a5f-81e5-ce82c8568ef8

So they go from as easy to use gui ,to having to create a custom xml file?
What a PITA!

All right folks ,here's the lowdown from one of my contacts @M$ (an office MVP).

It appears as if because of product launch constraints, the functionality for a custom install was left out.

My feedback was, it will be forthcoming in one of the updates.

So M$ is aware of the issue.
