check if zone file is valid

Hi Guys,

I have setup a DNS zone on my server for a domain, is there anyway of checking if it is indeed valid?

let say is the server where DNS is configured.
on the machine where dns is configured, run cmd and type nslookup and hit enter the text which should appears as "Default Server and IP address" is your DNS server's ip and its name if it configured correctly then type that server name and enter. it should display that server's IP there.
and you can check it from client side
logon on any other machine which should be in the same network.
turn off firewall for testing.
go in network adapter properties and set ip 192.168.1.x and put dns server's ip in prefered dns feild, then run cmd and repeat that procedure
it should reply with correct ip of that server if it configured correctly.
