many thanks rindi for a swift answer - the answer to my solution remains the same - I have found the file (jpg) - copied but the paste in the right click is grayed out so i cannot paste - it works fine for the scan and it goes to my pictures then that's all I can do with it outside of bringing it up in the viewer - any help (beginner here) would be greatly accepted other software to use included - thanks gain

I am using wine to scan (vuescan) jpgs and pdf files  which go to wine and not linux.  How can i move a jpg etc file from wine windows to linux ?  thank you
