Change the local admin across my user pcs

I know how to use a GPO to add a new local user to a PC. My question is for a mixed environment where this user account may not exist yet, or may exist but have the wrong password from years ago assigned. If I run this will it successfully change the password on the already existing account, or will it error out because the account already exists? All systems are Windows 7 Professional or Enterprise.

Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Accounts are all based off of SID's. Names do not matter it is the SID that is generated when the account is created which actually identifies the account.

So if you are trying to create a new user with the same name in hopes that this will overwrite/change the password this will not happen.

What you might want to take a look at is Microsoft's Latest way to manage Accounts using LAPS (Local Administrator Password Solution).
