Exchange - Database has begun replaying logfile

After a database corruption, our exchange has started replaying the logfiles, while mounting the database.

Unfortunately, it looks like the VSS process which consolidates this has stopped working a few months ago, and we've ended up with over 400,000 log files. So far we're 33K in, is there a way to speed this up, so we can recover the service quicker ?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You probably don't want to skip this.

When new data is added to the store, it is also written to the logs. The logs are deleted after a successful backup of the store. At the moment, your Exchange store is probably an old version, and for some reason the new data has not been added, it is now updating from the logs.
