Hi wfcrr,

Here is the steps to  remove page numbers in work sheets.

1.Click the worksheets or chart sheets for which you want to remove page numbers.
2.For a single Sheet, Click the sheet tab.
3.If you don't see the tab that you want, click the tab scrolling buttons to display the tab, and then click the tab.
4.On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click the Dialog Box Launcher Button image next to Page Setup.
5.On the Header/Footer tab, in the Header or Footer drop-down box, click (none).  You may have to scroll to the top of the list to click (none).

@kulboy, that didn't work

@ Tapan,  I went into "Insert" tab, then in the Text section I clicked Header & Footer and now have a new problem. The sheet looks completely different. It no longer looks like and excel spreadsheet, now it looks like something like a Word document? How do I get it out of this mode so that it looks like an excel spreadsheet again?
can you provide a screenshot of the problem (before the second manipulation?)
Are you sure you are normal view and not in page break view?
