Is there any way  data can be retrieved or we  just need to close this issue.

As the report says heavy scratches I'd say the chances of getting anything back are pretty much nil.

They would have tried to do their best to get the data back as that's how most of these companies get paid.  Only charge if data is recovered.

This is a lesson to senior management to keep important and business related information on the server.  Hopefully you are making backups where this person obviously wasn't.

Lesson learned.

the service is provider is one of the leading data recovery people in india (Steller Technologies). We are just trying is there anybody who can do better job with better tools than the one mentioned above.

Can you suggest somebody  in India other than Steller Techonologies.
Most interesting question - who scratched the plates?
Try to contact Gillware and check if they do recovery from such drives. www.gillware.com
Is it possible the drive heads were drug across the plates causing the scratches?

Is it possible to have dropped the HD, and the force damaged the arms and causing the damage?
If the drive has been looked at by a proper data recovery company, and they have deemed it impossible to retrieve the data, it is time to give up.  Very unlikely that another company will succeed.

Said manager has probably now learned the importance of backups, keeping one copy of important data on a laptop hard drive is just plain stupidity.
for important data, i would contact other companies; this one said  he recovered from scratched disk :  http://www.capitaldatarecovery.com/gallery.html
