adding DFS Namespace to an already existing DFS Share

I set up my first couple of DFS shares using the following commands:

PS C:\> New-DfsReplicationGroup -GroupName "RG01" | New-DfsReplicatedFolder -FolderName "data" | Add-DfsrMember -GroupName "RG01" -ComputerName corporate2,DC2

PS C:\> Add-DfsrConnection -GroupName "RG01" -SourceComputerName corporate2 -DestinationComputerName DC2

PS C:\> Set-DfsrMembership -GroupName "RG01" -FolderName "data" -ContentPath "e:\data" -ComputerName Corporate2 -PrimaryMember $True

PS C:\> Set-DfsrMembership -GroupName "RG01" -FolderName "data" -ContentPath "e:\data" -ComputerName DC2

PS C:\> Get-DfsrMember | Update-DfsrConfigurationFromAD -verbose

But now I want to use DFSNamespaces on those directories. Is there an easy way to convert, or do I have to create the DFSNamespaces first?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

DFS Namespace is separate from DFS Replication. While they can be nicely integrated together, they don't have to be. You can simply setup your namespace and all should be well.
