Hi guys,

We use skype internally for IM, how do we prevent outside users of the organization from contacting us?

Like all IM your privacy settings determine who can call or chat
 add contacts to the list anyone who is not added cannot talk.
Is this a group or individuals?

If you want your own skype, you should use your own Lync, now renamed into "Skype for Business"

What is your deployment like? Hosted or on-prem?
If i get it right users from external companies are able to contact you? If this is the case then you need to turn off open federation.
