Does Changing out NIC on a Small Business Server 2011 Require Reconfiguraiton of SBS?

We need to change the Virtual NIC on a Small Business Server 2011 instance on VMWare 5.5.  We need to go from the E1000 to the VMXNET3.  In order to do that it requires removing the E1000 NIC and then adding a new NIC as VMXNET3.  Will this require a reconfiguration of the SBS by running the CEICW?  Will this cause any problems?

it depends on Server's Roles and Features.
if the server is Domain Controller or act as DNS, so it will require reconfiguration.
please mention the Roles, services and features of that server.

It was what I expected.  The only way to change a NIC from E1000 to MVXNET3 is to add a new NIC.  Once you do that the configuration in SBS is broken in regards to binding of various technologies.  That requires running CEICW.  Without running that I couldn't even RDP into the SBS VM.  Once I did everything lit up.
