10GB server in esxi ver6.0

Plan to buy a server with 10GB for the cluster. I plan to have management network, vm port group, NFS,iscsi, motion, DMZ and FT.
Thinking of HP380 or Dell, I think both have onborad 1GB card with 4 port, in addition that i plan to buy  two 10GB nic card .
The following is my selection
1. NFS 1*10GB and 1* 1GB (standby) for failover.
2. iscsi 2*10GB one active and one unused .
3, Management 1*1GB
4.vMotion 1GB (vsphere 6.0 does support  failover too)
5. DMZ 1GB
6. FT 1*10GB
7. VM port group 1*10GB and 1*1GB for failover.

This case 6*10GB and 3 1GB.
Should i go for all 10GB?
I know the SAN switches are 10GB, VM port group are connected to 1GB.
If i go for all 10GB then we need vm portgorp physical switches to be upgraded too.
I like you comments/suggestion  on this.

We are now moving all our network interfaces (except Management Network) to 10GBe, and then use VLANs.

Less network interfaces, less network cables, less network ports on the physical switches.

It takes a huge amount of network iSCSI and NFS traffic to saturate a 10GBe link.

I would use at least two pairs of 10GBe for iSCSI and NFS if not using VLANS, you will always want two pairs for all services for resilience.

So you will want 2 nics at least for vMotion, DMZ, FT.

VMs, we bundle at least 4xnics.

ASKER

Andrew ,
IF I understood correctly.
You are using 4*10GBe ports for each protocol.
How many vmkernel port for NFS ?
How many vmkernel port for iscsi?
Are they all in one vSwitch or separate switch?
Also you are bundle 4 pics to vms a, are they 10GBe too?
