How to get the IP of domain using host command

I am getting all the internal CNAME and then after few line I am getting IP as below

$host uat-api-asia.example.com
uat-api-asia.example.com is an alias for uat-api-asia.example.com.edgekey.net.
uat-api-asia.example.com.edgekey.net is an alias for e16755.a.akamaiedge.net.
e16755.a.akamaiedge.net has address 12.6.26.48

I would to get ip of domain and no need to get the in between cnames details. like below

$host uat-api-asia.example.com
uat-api-asia.example.com has address 10.14.2.5

I need to script the output as ip of the domain name. How can I get it?

you can use gethostip from pxelinux or script in perl.
