"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Page 9 Step 2: Connect to the PS Series Volumes from Hyper-V Server ,

My issue starts from here. My host server is Hyber V 2012 R2 and I am using a remote laptop to connect to it using Hyper-V manager. The volume on the SAN is created already. I just need to know how to initiate in on the host server.. The guide is a bit hard for me to follow. I am not looking more then just connection to the SAN volume.

You need to first connect the Lun using the Microsoft iSCSI initiator, then format the disk within disk management then add as a storage device within HyperV

On your Hyper V Server open ISCSI Initiator, it would ask to run the service, click on yes to start the service.

In ISCSI Initiator type and IP address of your storage. Hope this would help.
