command line tool to show open connections/ports

i need a windows command line tool which will show open connections and ports and maybe even more network information ... something like netstat -a or fport

CurrPorts from NirSoft is a good utility for this.

You need to speficy some commandline parameters for working on the commandline.
E.g. to save all open ports to a file called "openports.txt"
cports.exe /stext openports.txt

i need it to be a command line utility which output i can redirect to a text file please ... this opens a GUI window and does not allow redirection

Yes you can probably redirect.
Could you maybe tell what you need more than the default Windows command
netstat -an

will give as output.
