ESET Endpoint Antivirus

Have been using and installing ESET NOD32 AV on clients computers for YEARS with no problems. Tech support has always been great on the rare times I've contacted them.

I recently installed ESET Endpoint Antivirus in 2 clients' offices, both small accounting firms, and they've had nothing but trouble since the installation.

Client #1: has a mix of 32 & 64bit Win7 Pro computers. ESET File Security and Remote Adminitrator 6 are running on a 2012 R2 server. All computers have ERA agent installed as well. Most, but not all computers have had freezing problems. Currently working with tech support on a 32bit PC that's frozen 3 times today.

Client #2: All 64bit Win7 Pro computers with MS hotfix applied. NO ERA agent is installed yet because these computers are not yet connected to a server yet. All of these computers are experiencing slowdowns in processing, in particular Outlook which uses for POP email. They've had no freezing.

My question is has anyone had similar experiences with ESET Endpoint AV?

I have not experienced these issues, but a few things to consider:
Make sure no other AV is on the systems, including Security Essentials
Make sure you have the latest builds of EEA 6 (6.2.2021)
Update network drivers
Make sure the configuration does not scan Network Drives. Each system is scanning itself, so network scanning is just duplicating effort
Try disabling Outlook integration to see if performance improves on those affected clients. The realtime will at least be checking attachments when saved/opened
