After using Clonezilla to restore an image to a machine, I choose "Reboot," or "Poweroff," and Clonezilla appears to be preparing to do the chosen option, but after the CD is ejected, it just sits there?  Has anyone ever used this program before and am I doing something wrong?  I have to hard shutdown the PC to get rid of the Clonezilla window.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sometimes the shutdown or reboot works, sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't really matter though. Just shut the PC down ungracefully. You have booted from a LiveCD, you can't loose any data by forcing the system to power down. It would only be an issue if it had been booted from an HD and not everything had been written to it.. OS's you have booted from unvolatile media like CD's or DVD's, you can always force off.
