DOS command to send email with attachment

Hi

I have a program that generates a text file report periodically. I want to write a batch file so that the text file is sent to another team member as an attachment.

Is there any DOS command that I can use to email that file to the team member?

Note that the PC that the text file is residing on does not have any email software. (It is just a Windows Server) Nor does the network that the PC is in have an email server.

Any suggestion is also welcomed.

Thank you,

You can do it with powershell:

send-mailmessage -from "User01 <user01@example.com>" -to "User02 <user02@example.com>", "User03 <user03@example.com>" -subject "Sending the Attachment" -body "Forgot to send the attachment. Sending now." -Attachments "data.csv" -priority High -dno onSuccess, onFailure -smtpServer smtp.fabrikam.com

I am not familiar with powershell. Is it possible to create a batch file for powershell that can be called by the task scheduler?

With the use of a free utility you can do this directly from a BAT script.  Get a copy of BLAT and experiment with it.  If you search experts exchange there are many examples of it's usage.
