I am looking for software that will help with budgeting for a business. Currently we use excel with various workbooks and worksheets, with each sheet corresponding to a department's budget. I have been given the task to enable the users to directly enter their figures into their respective sheets. Unfortunately it is not as easy or straightforward as I thought. There a a number of references to other sheets and users should only be allowed access only to their sections. Currently our accountant is the one making changes to the sheets using input from each department. We would like to eliminate the double entry of data.
Does anyone use any budgeting software in their environment? How has it been going? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
