I have two records in Excel and to the eye they look exactly the same however when I filter they appear to be two different records. How can I format the same. Find attached the Excel workbook.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The space between the first and last name isn't the same. In A2 it is a space. In A3 it is the character represented by ASCII 160, whatever that is. I'm trying to find it.

=CODE(MID(A2,8,1))
=CODE(MID(A3,8,1))

So how do I convert the data?????

Put this formula into a free column.

=SUBSTITUTE(A2,CHAR(160),CHAR(32))

Copy down and replace into the original column using Paste Special -> Values.

Do it for both columns.. (B2 for the other)
