Citrix PVS 7.1 and XenApp 7.6 Caching

I am new to our Citrix environment at work and trying to help work on a issue and trying to understand the following.

All of our Citrix server are VM's using PVS 7.1. Does PVS cache information i.e in memory or else where? Also 7.6 uses Flexcast I believe instead of IMA, any chances to the way audio is buffered or cached?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

PVS will cache info on the target device. Look at the properties of the vDisks and you will see what cache option was selected. For PVS 7.1, the recommended usage is cache to device ram with overflow to disk.

The default policy settings are here:

By default, audio buffering is disabled:

Windows Media Redirection buffer size 5 seconds
Windows Media Redirection buffer size use Disabled
