Connection to Internet through another computer or a server in a different state

My son lives in Texas and I live in Tennessee.  He can not get Internet as he lives in the country.  He has tried.  Is it possible to purchase a server and have him connect via my computer here through my AT&T account?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

How will your son connect if there is no internet?  With respect, I think your son needs Internet first.

He has tried  <-- Perhaps list what has been tried. I use cellular internet that works wherever my cell phone works - that is a lot of places including in the country.

If he can't get internet, then he will not be able to connect to your server either... because he would have to do that over the internet.

About all that is available to him would be a dialup connection.  There are both free and paid dialup services still.  The free services usually do not provide email service.  If that is an AT&T area, he can probably get dialup service from them.

you  can't deliver internet from your loaction/server to your son's location.......if you don't have any physical/intranet connect between your system and your son's system.
