I cannot sort my spreadsheet
I cannot sort the following spreadsheet by internment (buriel - colum C) date. How do I fix it? fyi my sister manages the local cemetery. I asked this before and the solver said the items in C were not the same format. I gave him the points but couldn't get them all the same format. seems simple but I cannot fix it
It seems simple. In Excel, highlight the entire column, select Format, Format Cells and give all cells the same format (say date) . That normally works for me.

You may have to use the text conversion tool to convert dates in diverse formats into spreadsheet dates.
The only trouble might be if the dates are written with conflicting conventions so that some dates are ambiguous. If the dates can't be converted automatically, and there's no easy pattern match/replace that can fix them, then you may be stuck conforming the dates by hand.

I'm sorry but I got interrupted yesterday before I could include the file. Near row 1137, an apostrophe appears before the internment date. The sheet doesn't sort by column C with the apostrophe. What should I do to get rid of it? While writing this file, I think I used LibreOffice Calc and Google Sheets to write this..

An apostrophe means that you you type will be treated as text, in this case the date. Just edit the cell and remove the apostrophe at the beginning of the cell. Then try the sort again.
