why is icloudservices.exe consuming 50% of my CPU

I'm currently running Windows 7 Pro and I recently noticed that the application iCloudServices.exe is taking up 50% of my CPU.

Why?  What can I do to eliminate this application?

a reboot of the system or upgrade of the software usually fixed the issue

Thanks, Ben.

I finally did a reboot and that brought the CPU usage down, although the memory usage continues to climb.  When I rebooted yesterday, it was at about 4M, now, after 12 hours it is consuming 131M or RAM.
