Need a bandwidth monitor

I asked before but was hoping some new software has come out that will allow us to monitor what is using up our bandwidth?   We can't afford Solarwinds.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Could you post a reference to the previous question, so we do not recommend just the same?

The post was many moons ago.  I'm going to use the Solarwinds 30 day trial unless you have something else.

The switches are unmanaged

You can always install a cheap Mikrotik RB750GR2 and monitor traffic to and from it (install between your network switch and your cisco router).

Have a look at this forum post

The router is not free but its cheap $40, the software is limited but will give you an idea who's doing what. Other alternative options is to install free Linux distribution of..
All of the above are free with paid options, most of them come with proxy services and can be installed on very old PC hardware Pentium 3..

Hi Dirk,
Do you know if this will work with a Mikrotik RB2011UAS-2HnD?
I am very interested in this.
