Dell SonicPoint automatically moving accross devices

I have 4 sonicpoints set up in my office, all connecting to an NSA 2600.

All 4 have the same SSID and same band / channel.

On a laptop i can connect to one and walk to the other side of the office without the connection dropping for more than a couple of seconds while it switches between devices.

However on phones i have an issue where sometimes they will use the GPRS data instead of the wifi when moving between devices, sometimes i have to turn the wifi off on the phone and back on before it will use the wifi again.

Is there any way around this? I am getting quite a bit of greif from people in the office over it. Dell wont support it as the sonicpoints werent purchased through them.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can vary channels to improve coverage.
Mobile phones just work like that to save power. You cannot fix them all,
