how to reset windows 2003 server admin password

Client cannot use password that worked a few weeks ago. Yup, consultant left right about then. Any ideas?

You can try a linux live CD that contains a utility for changing the password. Here is the link: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

If the server is a DC (i.e. you are not able to log in to "local machine") you can always login as "local" admin in domain recovery mode (accessible by pressing F8 during startup), here is a step-by-step guide on how to reset a Server 2003 Domain Admin password here:
