Dell 2335 scan to pc - keeps getting error in outlook 2010

I keep getting the following error when trying to scan to email from the dell 2335
outlook error
i have done the following
1) downloaded hotfix 50565 from microsoft
2) ran outlook repair
3) restarted system
4) confirmed outlook set as default email program

Nothing seem to resolve this issue please help thanks!

Which platform of Office do you have (32-bit or 64-bit).  Note that applications must use same architecture to work (i.e. both applications have to be either 32-bit or 64-bit.  If one is 32-bit and the other is 64-bit then it won't work).  I believe this is your problem.

how can i determine if i'm running the 64 or 32 bit version of office?
this is a 64 bit system with the 64 bit os installed.

64 bit appears to be the issue. I also disabled the programmatic item in trust center. works now thanks!
