Need help with a query

Hi Experts,

I have a query.

select distinct PONum ,POCreatedDt from BOMPORFQ where BomID =20 and PartID =123 and ponum != ''

POCreatedDt  is in yyyymmdd format. Can I change it to mm/dd/yyyy format in the query?

Thanks in advance.

If is a varchar field then convert it to date field:
select distinct PONum ,CAST(POCreatedDt AS DATE)
where BomID =20 and PartID =123 and ponum != ''

If DateTime or Date Field
Use Format()

                        ,FORMAT(POCreatedDt, 'MM/dd/yyyy') AS POCreatedDt
  WHERE BomID = 20
  and PartID = 123
  and ponum != ''

If varchar cast to Date first
                        ,FORMAT(CAST(POCreatedDt as date), 'MM/dd/yyyy') AS POCreatedDt
  WHERE BomID = 20
  and PartID = 123
  and ponum != ''

You may need to use:

and IsNull(ponum, '') != ''

this will handle both null and empty string.
